Give CENLA (previously known as Cenla Giving Day) is a yearly digital fundraising initiative that links donors with Central Louisiana nonprofits and their financial requirements. This event aims to increase awareness of the vital contributions nonprofits make to our communities, encouraging generous giving to foster a more vibrant and resilient CENLA for everyone!
Donate to MEC
Montessori Educational Center has a rich history in Central Louisiana. Since opening its doors to six primary-aged children in 1978, the school has continued to add capacity and currently enrolls almost 200 children with ages ranging from toddlers to middle schoolers. Several years ago, the Montessori Board of Directors committed to a capital campaign to support the need for additional space for our growing student population. In January 2017, a new 5,000 square foot building was opened to accommodate upper elementary and middle school classrooms. An additional parking area was added as well.
A donation to MEC directly supports the school. We use donations to buy new Montessori materials for the classrooms, cover field trips, enroll in additional training for our teachers, and more!

Box Tops for Education is an easy way to support MEC. Download the Box Tops for Education app and use it to scan and submit your receipt. Learn more at www.boxtopsforeducation.com.
Community Coffee Cash for Schools is another easy way to earn money for MEC while you shop. Similar to the Box Tops for Education, clip the proof of purchase from your coffee bag and turn it in to the school office.
Kroger Community Rewards donates a percentage of your total purchase to MEC each time you use your loyalty card. To connect your card to MEC, log in to your Kroger account and select organization #SS167 to receive the donation.

Lip Sync Battle
MEC’s annual Lip Sync Battle pits Cenla’s brightest lip sync contestants against one another in a costume-clad, wig-wearing homage to hits spanning the decades. Admission includes food, entertainment, and access to silent and live auctions. A cash bar is available. Tickets can be purchased individually or as a table. This is a fun evening of entertainment that raises money to further the mission of the school.
Owl Fest
Montessori’s spring fundraiser is an outdoor spring fair held at the school. It features inflatable slides, face painting, food, games, and a petting zoo. There is a silent auction and children host their own lip sync battle. The day features fun for all ages!
