Montessori Educational Center: An Education as Unique as Your Child
Montessori Educational Center provides learning based on the techniques established by Maria Montessori in the early 1900’s. While curriculums have changed, the successful approach has not.

Focusing on the Whole Child
Traditional schools address the cognitive needs of the students. Here, we focus on not only cognitive growth, but social, emotional, and physical progress as well. Our method address the child’s natural desire to learn, making learning an enjoyable experience that children wish to pursue independently.
Self-Motivation
The students enrolled in Montessori Educational Center (MEC) are presented with individualized lesson plans and activities that help them reach the goal of the lessons. They work at a pace that they set for themselves until the lesson is mastered.
All classrooms are multi-grade level so that the students can have peer-to-peer learning interactions. Older students in the classroom have the opportunity to develop leadership skills. The teacher in the classroom guides the learning with the individualized plan for each
The Grading Question
Montessori Educational Center does not grade students. Progress is tracked by mastery of skills and discussed in family conferences. Your child’s teacher may provide a written narrative, but his/her competency will not be expressed by a percentage or letter grade.
